| Workshops and a book which use an interdisciplinary and manipulative-based approach to teaching mathematics, supporting the NCTM Standards and unfolding a positive attitude toward math and learning. Barbara Pearl developed "Math in Motion" while working as a classroom teacher; her workshops explore the applications of origami to Shape and Size Recognition, Spatial Sense, Patterns, Geometry, Listening and Following Directions, Connections, Interpreting Diagrams, Sequencing, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking.
