| Workshops and a book which use an interdisciplinary and manipulative-based approach to teaching mathematics, supporting the NCTM Standards and unfolding a positive attitude toward math and learning. Barbara Pearl developed "Math in Motion" while working as a classroom teacher; her workshops explore the applications of origami to Shape and Size Recognition, Spatial Sense, Patterns, Geometry, Listening and Following Directions, Connections, Interpreting Diagrams, Sequencing, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking. Resource kit also available in Spanish. | |
